Rodents are herbivores. This applies to rabbits as well as small rodents. The main difference between rabbits and rodents (such as guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats, squirrels, chinchillas, and gerbils) lies in their teeth. Rodents have a special dentition with strong incisors and a hard layer of enamel. Their teeth grow continuously throughout their lives. This is necessary because the teeth move against each other while gnawing, causing them to wear down and stay sharp. Garvo feeds are well adapted to this process.
